PRO Pards

Approx. time: 45 minutes per round
Game settings: Manual Fives, 1 Pawn Out, No Blockades

The objective is for each team to get as many pawns into the partners' home triangles as possible before the game ends. The legacy format awarded each pard the team's combined home-triangle pawn total for that round.

How It Works

• Players may choose their own pard or enter as a single and be assigned a pard for that tournament.
• The legacy format used the highest four or five scores, depending on the month's number of qualifying tournaments, to determine ranking.
• Wildcard positions were selected from predetermined ranking positions, with additional rules for ties, subs and partners.
• Legacy monthly playoffs included wildcard rounds and a final playoff round.

Standard Rules

• Everyone plays two rounds, win or lose.
• A player's name must appear in the report to receive points for the round.
• Do not resign.
• Substitute, boot, timeout and DQ scoring follows the published host rules.
• Consecutive-prize restrictions historically applied to both PRO Singles and PRO Pards.

Legacy Tie Breakers

The old system first compared ranking scores, then games played/total, then raw score and additional score comparisons until the tie was broken. Players keeping the same pard all month could create an unbreakable tie, with special wildcard/finalist rules.
